A Gym Membership has no single web page to cancel on, so the steps below are the fastest way. If they offer you a discount, look for “No thanks” or “Continue to cancel”.

Steps to cancel a Gym Membership

  1. Read your contract for notice period, fees and allowed cancel methods.
  2. Cancel the way you joined; CA requires online cancel if you joined online.
  3. Also send dated written notice by certified mail, return receipt requested.
  4. Keep confirmations; check statements for charges after the cancel date.
  5. Still billed? Dispute with your card issuer and report to FTC/state AG.
